Excellent Cleaning Power
The replacement heads were delivered promptly. The heads are excellent for a thorough cleaning of the teeth. I am extremely pleased with the toothbrush, having owned it for just over 6 months. My teeth are a lot whiter than they used to be. The best news is my dentist bill has reduced, as I do not need such an intensive clean.

Oral-B Toothbrush heads
A very good product since using this I have had to have less work done at the dentist and my teeth feel cleaner. I find Oral-B to be far superior to other electronic toothbrushes I have used.

A great item
this is the 2nd time this has come up for review today. I've not yet disposed of the one that was in the toothbrush package but it should be the same as those in the replacement pack.

Good but overpriced
After my old Braun's toothbrush battery finally gave up charging I decided to invest in a newer model and chose the 3000. This cost twice what I paid for my old model two years ago and frankly isn't worth the extra money. Don't get me wrong it is a very good brush and handy if you have sensitive teeth due to that brush mode, (also daily and polish modes). However my old Braun costing half the price of the 3000 also had a sensitive mode and seemed just as efficient as this one. Now while the battery will last a week on a full charge it takes a pathetic 14 hours to reach a full charge again! (the old brush was similar and I'd hoped one for twice the price would be quicker), If like me you don't have a socket in your bathroom you will have to plug it in elsewhere to charge, use it and plug it back in to reach full charge.

You will also find that replacement heads are like printer ink and the same price as liquid gold!

All in all though it is very good just way overpriced and you'd be better off buying one of their cheaper models, that's what I'll do next time.

Better than I'd hoped!
Ok, so here's the deal. I smoke. I drink black coffee. I drink red wine. None of these things help with keeping teeth white. Worst of all, I don't go to the dentist anywhere near often enough. (Shame on me - if you've got one, GO!)
Anyway, there I am, stained teeth and all. Getting to the stage when I'm afraid to smile, when I start doing a little research. Long story short - found this brush...use it...NOW WHITE TEETH. What more need I say? I am delighted with this product!

Great Product @ Great Price
I've long done away with the manual toothbrushes and think the oral-b line is way superior for oral hygiene. And Amazon's price are next to none, can't beat them.

Excellent, simple, great clean!
Very very good electric toothbrush. Has quite a fast action, so it cleans teeth very quickly and efficiently. The toothbrushes 'buzzes' 4 times during the two-minute cycle, to let you know when to switch between upper/lower, front/back of teeth. It's a bit pointless, but a nice touch i guess. The battery lasts a long time. I use the product for about 2-4 minutes, three times a day, and i've only charged it once (used it about a week, i think), but i think the battery is still almost full, though there's no way to check. Nice 'battery low' indicator too on the toothbrush. Another green LED also whilst charging, which is good. If you brush too hard, then a light on the back lights up quite brightly to warn you, which is very useful if you are quite heavy handed! Basically, this toothbrush is all you need for an electric toothbrush. My hygenist told me there's no point in paying for the really expensive models, because this one does just exactly the same thing, but without all the silly extras like an LCD timer. Highly reccommended product! :)

Love this brush
This is just an evolution of the Triumph 9500/9900, as far as I can see. I've been using a 9900 for the last two years, and swear by it. I haven't needed a descale once, in those two years.

I like the new brush storage. It doesn't look as impressive but is incomparably easier to clean.

There is an extra brushing mode, and a third brush type - massage - is supplied, to supplement floss-action and polish. The description says it has four brush heads in the box, but I only found the three that are pictured.

Actually, it's annoying that there is only one of each type - I bet a lot of people will share this unit with someone else, and Braun should pack two heads of each type.

But that's my only complaint. Ah, no, there is another - why on earth can't they make the batteries user-replaceable? No, don't tell me, I think I know the answer - they want people to buy new brushes every couple of years.

Ignoring that, and I do, I can't recommend this brush too highly. The only decision you have to make is whether to pay extra for the IQ 5000 so that you get the Smartguide. Me? I'd pay the extra - Smartguide is a bit of a gimmick but I find it genuinely useful, telling me how much longer I have to keep brushing and advising when I press too hard, as well as providing a bathroom clock.

A good entry level brush, with some nice features and a few small flaws

This is an excellent entry level electric toothbrush from Braun. I've been using one of their previous models (the Vitality) for the last few years, and this model quite simply blows it out of the water.

the worlds leading electric toothbrush gets better
I bought the first Braun Oral-b triumph over a year ago. I had read the 'Which' review of it and I was not disappointed and it has lasted me very well, so although I have only just replaced it I have no reason to doubt that the new model will also be as reliable and longlived.

The adjustments made by Braun with this new model are small. The original had 4 brushing modes (clean, soft, massage and polish) whereas the new model has 5 (daily, sensitive, deep clean, polish and massage) I presume by clean they mean daily and by soft they mean sensitive. So actually there is only one difference, the deep clean mode. I found the deep clean did give cleaner results than the previous model and was very impressed with the cleanliness of my teeth afterward. The flossing I always do after brushing as my teeth are very close together showed there was less debri after brushing with this latest model.

Those of you not used to electric toothbrushes will need to learn not to move the brush around like with a manual toothbrush, there is no need. The brushes are readily available and the toothbrush tells you when to change them as it has an intelligent chip in it which monitors now much they are used/ time etc which I really like as I can be forgetful sometimes!

If you can afford this latest model then buy it. As this toothbrush could mean fewer trips to the dental hygienist this needs to be factored into the price. It could be especially good for those of you who smoke or do not like going to the hygienist and of course for those who want to maintain that 'just been to the hygienist' feeling and whiteness.

Some doubts over quality
I've had my Triumph 5000 for 4 months and, while I'm very pleased with the cleaning action, I'm less impressed with the overall quality of the product. The display unit now continually shows the excess pressure warning regardless of what I do with the brush, and there is a build up of condensation behind the battery indicator window on the brush itself. The display unit is also unable to keep time any longer and keeps reseting itself. Should you be thinking of purchasing this, make sure that you take advantage of the free extra year's warranty on offer from Braun for registering the product.
